Introducing a new tarot podcast..."Tarot for Fools."

I’ve started a new project called Tarot for Fools — a tarot podcast for anyone who’s curious about the cards, drawn to symbolism, or simply wants to learn tarot in a deeper way.
When I went looking for a tarot podcast that felt right for me, I found two extremes. Some shows were brilliant, but so academic that you almost need a degree in classics to follow along. Others barely touched on the cards at all, leaning on pop-psychology or recycling book definitions of tarot card meanings that we've all heard a million times.
What I wanted was something in between, a space that respects the esoteric roots of tarot while still talking about what those ideas mean when you’re actually sitting with a spread. For example, it’s interesting to know that The Star might depict Persephone’s return from the underworld — but what does it mean when The Star follows the Tower in a reading? What does that say about picking yourself up after heartbreak and finding love again?
That’s the kind of conversation I want to have in Tarot for Fools.
Now, even though I'll be droning on about the roots of tarot, I’m not here as a tarot teacher or positioning myself as the best tarot reader in the world. I’m just a tarot reader (a good one, hopefully), sharing my experience, what I’ve studied, and the little insights I’ve picked up along the way. Think of it as an open journal - part study notes, part reflection, part exploration of the Western Hermetic traditions that shaped tarot.
Over the coming 12 episodes, we’ll cover the Rider–Waite–Smith deck, it's history, structure and the philosophy behind it. We'll go beyond surface-level tarot card meanings, and build into deeper layers like astrology, the Qabbalistic Tree of Life, symbolism, and Jungian archetypes. But I’ll always bring it back to tarot card reading: how you can understand tarot better when reading for yourself or others.
For me, tarot has always been about connection — between the everyday and the archetypal, the seen and the unseen. And I hope that’s the spirit of this podcast.
🎙️ Episode One is out now. If you’ve been looking for a tarot podcast that blends esoteric depth with practical use, I’d love you to listen and join the journey. And of course, please subscribe, review and share it with your friends.
